This year we are supporting seed gathering season, an initiative by the Tree Council to help people learn how to grow their own trees from seed.
It's really simple to get involved, all you need is some compost, a yogurt pot and the tree seeds of your choice, which can easily be found in abundance all over the ground of your local woods in autumn.
We've found these fantastic guides from Nature Detectives and the Tree Council to help you identify seeds and know when the best time to plant them is. You can also find more information on growing other types of trees from seeds on the Tree Council's website.
