VisitWoods is a unique website which allows you to search nearly 11,000 publicly accessible UK woods. We feature woods owned by the Woodland Trust, National Trust, Forestry Commission, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts, as well as woods owned by over 600 public and private landowners.
Over 700,000 people have used the website since we launched in February 2011, and thanks to volunteers and members of the public uploading their photos, comments and information about the woods they visit, we have been able to inspire many more people to discover the joy of visiting woods.
Each wood has its own special wood page and by registering with VisitWoods, you can upload descriptions, comments, photos, hints and tips directly to the website for other visitors to see. So whether you're reading other's tips or giving tips of your own everyone can enjoy VisitWoods.
Help inspire people to visit your local woods by taking photographs and sharing them on VisitWoods. All photos uploaded before June 30th are automatically entered into our photo competition.
