Capture the beauty of woods

The British Wildlife Photography Awards are delighted to announce a brand new Visit Woods category for 2012. The Wild Woods category celebrates all that is special about British woods and trees.

The judges will be looking for images that portray the beauty, importance, atmosphere or sheer splendour of woods. Entries could be portraits of woodland wildlife, breathtaking wooded landscapes, seasonal scenes, intricate details of plants or show the relationships between species and habitats that occur within our woods and forests. There are plenty of fantastic photographs of woodland wildlife and seasonal landscapes full of mood and atmosphere waiting to be snapped.
