The Independent Panel on Forestry has launched a 'call for views', welcoming the public to have their say on the future of the public forest estate.
The Chief Executive of the Woodland Trust, Sue Holden, led the call, saying:
"We urge people to take this opportunity to put their comments direct to the panel at www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/panel. The public was instrumental in bringing about the initial climb down and it is now their chance to tell the panel why they value their woods and trees. England's forests are not yet safe. Yes, the Government has suspended the sell-off proposed earlier this year, but the fight isn't over."
