High Swindridgemuir (and Rabbie’s Well) wood is located on the B707 just north of Dalry, which can be accessed A737 Beith Road which runs between Beith and Dalry. The B707 can be quite narrow in places and needs to be driven with care if arriving with a vehicle.
I found it a little difficult to locate this woodland area and the entrance. The best landmark is Stables House, which is located at a junction on the B707, with the woodland area directly opposite.

The VisitWoods project comes to an end on December 31st 2013. For this reason we are now no longer able to provide help in contacting woodland owners. For help and more information about the end of the project please read here.
Don't worry if the weather's dull. The woods are perfect for taking photos
