This Easter VisitWoods invited East Durham residents for an Easter Eggstravanza at Castle Eden Dene. Here is how the day went...
32 children, 29 adults and one Easter bunny descended on Castle Eden Dene (The Dene) to join VisitWoods for an Easter Eggstravaganza.
The group was made up of new visitors and the regular Thursday morning walking group run by Natural England and the Durham and Darlington Primary Care Trust (PCT).
There were two routes for people to follow, one which led people in to the Dene and another accessible route which ran around the edge. Everybody followed clues which made up the letters of Easter words to lead them around the trail. When they reached the end, every child received a good bag including activities and mini eggs which went down a treat!
Everybody seemed to love the day, with comments including "Very enjoyable" and, "Good fun for my little girl, it was a great afternoon out."To take part in the regular walks at The Dene with Natural England and the
